Autobiography

My signature project is focused on

digital dictatorship and its impacts on citizens. I decided to focus on this topic because the country where I'm from, Myanmar, went through a military coup on February 1, 2021; since then, there have been many military-imposed internet shutdowns, especially targeted towards fixed wireless connectivity such as mobile data, which the majority of the Myanmar citizens rely on for access to the internet. My interest in digital dictatorship also stems from my previous familiarity with Computer Science through taking AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A and my previous coding experiences which include a bit of HTML & CSS, C, andJava.  I am very interested in Computer Science and potentially want to major in Comp Sci in college. I'm hoping this year of learning about Computer Science outside of the realms of coding  will allow me to dive deeper into my interest and also enable me to learn more about the situation in my country. My goal is to make a mini-documentary with interviews with people who have been impacted by digital dictatorship and present it to the Emma community.
